Foundation dinner raises £250,000

Overview:

GASP orchestrated the St James Place Foundation's 25th Anniversary Charity Ball at the Double Tree Hilton in Glasgow, celebrating a milestone and raising an impressive £250,000. The event showcased the generosity of attendees, contributing to the Foundation's 25-year history of raising over £55 million.

Event Highlights:

  • Fundraising Triumph: The Charity Ball achieved a remarkable fundraising total of £250,000, highlighting the immense generosity of attendees.

  • Captivating Auctions: Live and silent auctions featured enticing prizes, including a Tuscany Holiday and unique artworks, contributing to the fundraising success.

  • Memorable Performances: Hosted by Edward Read, with captivating acts by 'Forensic Mind Reader' Colin Cloud and musical performance by Amplify.


Event Management Scope:

GASP's role encompassed comprehensive event management, including logistics, audio-visual elements, set design and construction, room theming, video and photography, hosting, entertainment, and the implementation of a digital auction bidding system.


Acknowledgments:

St James Place expressed gratitude, stating, "We could never have dreamed of raising that much in the Glasgow area. GASP kept us on course to deliver a fantastic evening." The success of the event, from fundraising to seamless execution, is a testament to GASP's expertise and commitment to creating impactful and memorable experiences.



In the live auction on the night, auctioneer Willie Paterson encouraged guests to bid for a host of fabulous prizes including seven-nights Tuscany Holiday, Craig Campbell one of a kind paintings and a Limited Edition Bollinger 007 Champagne. There was also a silent auction with people bidding for nearly 30 varied items using our dedicated online system directly accessed by any mobile device. GASP also documented the event capturing all the entertainment including the Host Edward Read from Britains Got Talent, Colin Cloud 'The Forensic Mind Reader’ and the music act Amplify.


Since the formation of St. James’s Place in 1992, more than £55 million has been raised for the Foundation and supported charities, making a positive and lasting difference to people’s lives.
