Sally and SalonServices Perfect Christmas Gifts

The Client
Sally and Salon Services

It’s that time of year again – we were excited to be asked by Sally and Salon Services to create a fun and fabulous film through which to showcase their Christmas products. Why not check them out on the Sally Express website?

The Treatment

The brief was to create a 3-minute film with two main aims: to inspire their customers, and to inform Sally and Salon Services staff of this year’s Christmas products and offers. The look and feel had to befit the sassy and stylish nature of the intended audience.

The Film

With this in mind, our concept is based on four friends meeting up for a pre-Christmas getaway, with the camera being granted exclusive access to their intimate soiree – following them as they exchange gifts, share laughs, pamper and prepare to party. The products are showcased in stylized studio shots between the girls’ activities.

The film’s structure is similar to a music video or ‘lifestyle’ commercial, with an aspirational narrative in a sophisticated setting. The editing style builds the energy throughout the video, revealing the closeness of their friendships, culminating in a party scene where the girls just want to have fun!

The Graphics

The film is designed to accompany Sally’s Christmas products brochure, so the style of the graphics in the film matches that of the associated marketing collateral.
